Preparation

  1. K-1000C Code Writer

  2. Write Code File (you can generate your own using the methods in the appendix)

Step

  1. The code for writing files is stored in the root directory of the SD card.

  2. Connect cables as shown in the figure below.

  1. Turn on the 24V power supply. As illustrated in the diagram below, the K-1000C is powered on by default using the SM16512 & SM17512 models.

  1. Execute this procedure for TM512.

TM512AC:
Press and hold the "Chip" key and the "Mode" key simultaneously to switch to the write mode. Select the chip number based on the number displayed on the back of K-1000C. The following image shows TM512AC as an example.
Note: Press immediately after powering on the coder.

  1. Press and hold the Mode key for 8 seconds, and the picture below will appear.

  1. Be patient and wait for the nixie tube to appear as shown below, after the figure above appears.

  1. Press the mode button to increment 0000 by 1, for example, from 0001 to 0002 to 0003... as shown in the picture below. (This process corresponds to the white light of the lamp strip turning on in sequence)

  1. Press the chip key when the number has reached 0050. The digital display is located below.

  1. Once the preceding operations have been completed, the code writing process is finished.

Appendix: Instructions for Using 2019 LedEdit-K_v4.6

Note: If the version is 2019, you must adjust your computer's date to 2018 in order to use the configuration software properly.

Software for configuring light belts:

2019 LedEdit-K_v4.6 - Improved version of LedEdit software for controlling LED lights.

1. Choose the controller model for a new project

2. Revise the lighting diagram

3. Add the program and the canvas light map, choose the light icon, and click the left mouse button to draw a light strip in the drawing area. Once the drawing is complete, close the page.

4. Click on the program to verify if it has been successfully created. If not, repeat Step 3;

5. Choose an animation, add lighting to create a painting effect, select the color of the light strip (monochrome is the best choice for easy observation, blue is used as an example), double-click [single blue], click the "speed up" button, and you will see the window light with a blue breathing effect. Click "quick record" to record all frames of the current animation (the purpose of recording the animation is only to output the effect file).

After returning to the program, you will see the number of recorded frames. Click on "play" to view the recorded animation effect.

7. Choose Output - Select "Generate" and export the effects file.

Select a controller model: The K-1000C is used as an example.

Select a chip model: The following example uses TM512AC.

Choose RGBW Mode: A mix of all four colors - red, green, blue, and white

Order of channels: Default

Program Selection: Record the program now and set the parameters afterwards;

One-click address configuration: Choose the appropriate chip, such as TM512AC, click OK, and select the file path.
