Three, connection of wiring harness
Screw the laser signal cable's 8-pin connector into the Ethernet port on the laser sensor. Connect the RJ45 connector to any of the six-port switches on the SRC.
The thick brown and blue wires in the laser power cables are for 24V+ and GND, respectively.
Power-on Test:
The UAM-05LP-T301 comes with its own power cable that utilizes 24V (the brown cable is 24V+ and the blue cable is GND).
The UAM-05LP-T301 requires an external signal cable (4-pin M8 connector).
Upon normal power-up, the 7-segment display on the surface will display numbers, as depicted in the figure:
Fourth, Parameter Configuration
Install the UAM Project Designer software on your laptop.
Launch the UAM Project Designer software and connect the laser sensor to your computer using the USB-MicroB cable.
The software will automatically detect the serial port connected to the sensor and click "Connect" to establish a connection.
Upon connection to the sensor, the software defaults to [Monitor] mode.
Select [Configuration] and the software will prompt us to enter an eight-digit password.
The default password is 12345678.
Upon entering the configuration module, the configuration process will be displayed at the top of the screen, namely [General] → [Function] → [Area] → [Confirm] → [Transmit to Sensor].
Within the General module, configure the IP address as 192.168.192.100, the subnet mask as 255.255.255.0, and the default gateway as 192.168.192.1.
Configure the [Function] module: For the necessary regions, adjust the minimum detection width to 30mm, set the number of Active areas to 1, and keep the default values for other parameters.
Adjust the size of the area in the [area] module: Create an area of any size within the designated Protection area. As we utilize the point cloud parameter from the laser sensor, the size of the area has no impact on our usage.
Note: Configuration can proceed only after the area has been drawn.
Click on the [General], [Function], and [Area] options located on the right side of the screen in the [Confirm] module using the mouse to verify and confirm the parameters that were set in the previous steps.
Note: Please click on the [Confirm] button for each module in the interface, otherwise the [Transmit to Sensor] button will always be grayed out (unavailable).
Once all module parameters have been confirmed, the [Transmit to Sensor] button will turn black (indicating availability):
Finally, use the mouse to click the [Transmit to Sensor] button, and all parameters previously set will be downloaded to the sensor.
Once the laser device has been configured, restart it. After the restart, use the command-line interface (CLI) to ping the laser device. If the test is successful, the IP address of the laser device has been configured correctly.
Note: Please restart the device after configuring the laser device.
The configuration of the UAM-05LP-T301 laser sensor is now complete.
